Millsap

The Jazz MUST match the Blazers offer sheet to Millsap. The Jazz need one or the other and Boozer will bolt after this year. I must confess I am a Boozer lover and wish we could sign him to an extension. I do however believe that the Jazz and Booze are headed separate ways and have known this for awhile. I want the Jazz to match the offer sheet that Millsap is going to sign with Portland. I think the main reasons are:

1. I hate the Blazers. Mostly because there fans think they can contend for a title right now and believe that every move Kevin Pritchard makes is a genius move. Exactly what have they accomplished with the team they have? 1st round exit, check. Brandon Roy extended...nope....LaMarcus Aldridge extended....Nope again. Bringing the superstar free agent that they have been told they would be getting all last year with the Darius Miles cap room....hmmm....No again. Hedo wouldnt even sign with them. and decided Canada was a better fit. I would love to see Roy get a max deal and Portland to keep running the ISO play for him 50 times a game and have him break down. Those draft day red flags have to come up some time right? Oden stop getting hurt its Roys turn.

2. Espn has gets a broner over them. Hyping them up like they are already dynasty.

3. Because they are trying to force the Jazz's hand by signing Millsap and making the Bulls and Jazz decide on the Hinrich/Boozer/Thomas deal sooner. I really hope the Jazz match my boy Paul and leave the Blazers with another week of nothing happening for them. It would be even sweeter if we could get OKC in a 3 way with the Jazz and Bulls and leave Portland out of it completely.

In the end I wouldnt even be against signing Sap and keeping Boozer the whole year. I would love the see Greg Miller pay the huge luxury tax and show Portland that the Jazz cant be pushed around. Will they do it, I doubt it. Will Kevin O'conner find another trade without Portland, probably not but hey a boy can dream.

My prediction Jazz match Millsap, trade Boozer to the Bulls with Portland and then make a trade mid season of Miles/Harpring/ or somebody to ease most luxury tax burdens.
